Tattoo Aftercare

3-4 hours after leaving the shop remove the bandage in a clean environment.

Wash the tattoo with warm water and antibacterial soap (we recommend dial gold)

Allow the tattoo to air dry or pat dry with a clean paper towel before applying a thin layer of unscented water based lotion such as Lubriderm

After the first day, wash the tattoo at least twice per day. First thing in the morning and at night before bed.

Apply a thin layer of lotion as needed, usually no more than 3-5 times per day for the next 2 weeks.

Ensure all fabrics such as sheets and clothes are clean during the first 2 weeks of healing.

We often recommend not allowing pets in bed during this period.

-Avoid long exposure to direct sunlight and tanning beds for 3 weeks.

-Avoid soaking the tattoo in water (besides showering) for 3 weeks.

-Do not pick or scratch at your tattoo during the healing process. Peeling and flaking is a natural part of the healing.

-Do not bandage the tattoo during the healing process.

-Do not use ointment such as neosporin, vaseline, or bactine. This could damage your tattoo and remove color.

-Do not listen to how your friends tell you to take care of your tattoo.

Piercing Aftercare

Here at No Masters, we recommend following the aftercare standards set by the APP!

The only product we recommend using on your healing piercing is  STERILE  saline wound wash.

  1. Rinse with warm, running water to loosen up crusties

  2. Rinse thoroughly and GENTLY with your sterile saline

  3. Ensure the area is fully dried

(Using a blowdryer on the cool setting can fully dry some of those harder to dry areas)

  4. Repeat once or twice daily

We do sell Neilmed Saline Spray!

We do not recommend the use of any chemicals, tea tree oils, or ointments of any kind.

While some people can heal with just about anything, we don’t recommend taking the chance.

Sometimes, harsh products and overcleaning can cause more harm than good and result in an irritated piercing or even a chemical burn!!
